Beba
After years of designing and building big plywood speakers, we got hungry for a new challenge: maintaining our signature sound within a smaller package. After months of development, we are proud to introduce the Beba loudspeaker. Designed in collaboration with the founders of Michelin Guide recognized Restaurant Beba, founders Ari and Pablo Schor came to us looking for a sound system that would both elevate and seamlessly integrate into the experience they work hard to curate within their quaint dining room. Visiting Restaurant Beba takes your senses on a journey as you’re spoiled by old world cooking techniques that are backed by a genre-defying soundtrack. To ensure all styles are properly represented, we designed this loudspeaker to excel at any and all generations of music you pump through it.
This collaborative design embodies our shared values across both AA and Restaurant Beba: we don’t jump on trends and cut costs in areas where the client may not notice, instead we make things from the heart that are honest through and through while paying particular attention to every component that makes up our creations. Simplicity and meticulous execution will never go out of style.
Beba marks a leap in our woodworking journey, moving up from easy to work with plywood to living and breathing hardwood. We invested heavily into new-to-us tools and partnered with seasoned woodworkers to ensure these cabinets meet the standards set by high-end furniture makers. With hospitality environments in mind, we designed bespoke horns for the tweeter and woofers that provide 90°x90° coverage turning the entire space into that coveted ‘sweet spot’. Shocking low-frequency output with a flat response down to 32 Hz, the dual woofers are crossed over to a silk-dome tweeter using an in-house designed and assembled filter circuits. Each aspect of this model’s design makes it an incredibly effective tool within public spaces that you’ll want to bring home with you and enjoy deep into the night.

Melon
If you’ve made it this far, you’ve caught onto our love for the folded horn. Melons are an homage to this design, as historically it was much more commonly utilized for subwoofers. Often found flanking dance floors, Melon delivers the impact we crave from percussion within a wide soundstage. Hearing your system with an added Melon feels gluttonous, because you can totally live without one, but you can’t ever shake the memory of experiencing it. Pick between the not-so-compact 12” model to blow the roof off of smaller spaces, or the 18” 1000 watt beast to exceed the demands of larger spaces.
